Anxiety and depression were a constant hurdle Amanda Yanez battled due to the mental, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse she endured. A wide variety of creative arts were Amanda’s saving grace during her adolescent years and her way of dealing with the trauma induced shame and guilt she carried. Amanda has been healing by releasing herself of unhealthy expectations, creating healthy boundaries and reestablishing intimacy on her terms. “I want to lead by example,” she shares.

Amanda Yanez is a creative director, musician, songwriter, poet and the Creator & Host of Sup’ SA Podcast. She’s also a Montessori Teacher and mother of two. As a Girl Scouts of America Legacy Leader and Scout Leader, she impacts young girls in her community encouraging them to be strong, smart, and kind.
