What awakens inside when you observe, feel, sense from a soft in the sockets view? Who could others become when they are in your loving presence?

-Excerpt from Abundant Heart: Thoughts on Healing, Loving, and Living Free

From the depths of quiet and stillness you can hear the spring peepers, the gentle rain landing on the ground, into puddles, as gusts of wind carry the raindrops toward windows pelting the clear glass of seeing out, looking within, transparency. Nothing hidden from view when body breaths steady and eyes soften in their sockets.

Who are you, genius being, sitting across the way? What happened during ten thousand moments which shaped you, almost buried you? Can you be like the deer, stand frozen in fear for an eternity of seconds, prance into the woods to tremble out all the sensations of terror, then center in an ability to calmly eat and drink in a forest of life? Can you be like the peepers willing to sing in the spring, calling their mates to make baby frogs in a puddle?

There’s biodiversity inside of you which you can observe graciously when you feel safe enough, brave enough to see from a soft in the sockets view. Your past misdeeds could be displaced cravings, hidden hurts, aversions which want desperately to be seen, heard, embraced, and forgiven in the sunlight unapologetically shining beyond the dark rain clouds.

Those essential needs to belong, be loved, respected, valued, and capable remain available for you with you.

Can you begin to accept the many not so hidden parts within and pour forth compassion for other people in the multitude of ways they speak and behave? The more you see other people and their confusing, contradictory expressions as all parts of the multitude inside of you, you can experience greater acceptance of your naked humanity. From love, small, sleek spring peepers stare at you through black eyes, a living metamorphosis.

Hearing the gentle words “I hear you. I see you. You are beautiful,” soothes and seeps into the muddy, dead leaf places where green shoots emerge from the earth as they bow their bright yellow flower heads, humbled by their fresh beginning.

People’s humanity becomes the biodiversity living and breathing inside of you and all around you. In the presence of loving you, one person, multi-faceted, complicated, breathing being, becomes the entire world.
