Many of us are stunned by what is occurring on the world stage and wish to help. Offering your resources as a channel for love is one contribution you can immediately make. As the dual Goddess of Love and War, the Sumerian Goddess Inanna is a particularly poignant representation of love we can channel. In her role as Goddess of War, Inanna understands how to slay aggression, anger, fear, and separation consciousness. Through this practice, Inanna is able help us transcend war consciousness. Let us follow her example and diffuse the worldwide aggression we are witnessing with love and the energy of the Goddess.

An Invitation from the Goddess

We can all tap into Inanna’s energy and begin to move through the world as one of her soldiers of Love. By aligning our intention to channel her, we can help restore peace both within and without. If this call to arms resonates for you, commit yourself to Inanna’s army of love now. All that is needed is your intention and your heartfelt agreement. Armed with arrows of love on her back as ammunition, Inanna takes aim at divisiveness itself. As one of her soldiers, your ammunition is a commitment to unity consciousness. By joining forces energetically in the higher realms and engaging our will to support peace, we have enormous capacity to effect change. Our guides and the angels then merge with our intention and further support our efforts. The impact becomes exponential. This will offer each of us an opportunity to walk our path of service.

Your Priest and Priestess Roots

Many of us who are drawn to the Goddess (in any of her representations) had past life experiences as one of her priests or priestesses. We have returned to that role to support the evolutionary process of humanity today. Holding the vibration of love instead of fear is more important now than ever before.

Following Inanna’s example, embody love in every action, every word, every thought, every moment you can. Challenge yourself right now. Commit to using the skillful wisdom of the heart to help restore peace.

How to Channel the Goddess of Love
Below are three simple steps to help you honor your commitment!

Step One- Clean up Your Inner Landscape

It always begins with the self. When you start to feel anxious and fear creeps in, push yourself to look in the opposite direction. Literally turn your gaze away from fear towards love at every opportunity. Stop, take a deep breath, ground yourself, place a light of protection around yourself and know that your work as a soldier of love has begun and your resolve is being tested. You’ve got this!

Build up your armor by loving yourself—celebrate your valor, courage, and capacity. As we remember our power collectively, things begin to shift. There is so much strength in numbers.

Step 2- Let Those Arrows (of Love) Fly

Take every opportunity to share love and kindness. This means do so with your family, colleagues, friends, and most importantly, with those with whom you have more challenging relationships. By using love to navigate difficult relationships and interactions, you pave the way for others to do the same and over time we’ll no longer have enemies with whom we want to go to war.

Step 3- Conjure Like a Goddess

Use prayer, ceremony, ritual, and meditation. Dedicate your contemplative practice to the collective transmutation of fear and the manifestation of peace. Be diligent and engage in these approaches to support peace within and without. Find one (or a combination of the above) that speaks to you and cultivate a disciplined and regular commitment to alchemically transforming our world through the power of the heart.
