Dramatic shifts are underway on a planetary level and for many on the spiritual path, this loss of level footing is an invitation to reconnect with your Divinity. Doing so will help you get grounded and start treating yourself as the holy being you are. Below are seven ways to ensure you prioritize yourself amid the current global upheaval. These strategies will also help ensure you maintain a high and holy vibration.

Seven Self-Care Strategies for a Goddess

  1. Equanimity: Find your equanimity daily. Equanimity is the calmness of body, mind, and spirit, even when you find yourself in periods of stress. It is the experience of being at peace with what unfolds in your life. Practice accessing this state daily, even if you can only get there for a few seconds. Over time these few seconds may become minutes which may eventually become hours, but every second counts. This state supports your nervous system and your immune system by creating an internal balance. What can you do to achieve this state? Prayer and meditation are excellent ways. But, it may be an activity like walking, running, or surfing. Whatever it is, practice it daily and challenge yourself to spend longer and longer in the visceral experience of this blissful state of peace. Over time it becomes easier to access at will, so think of your daily moments of equanimity as a long-term investment in your soul.
  2. Press Pause on Social Media: Take a break from social media to spend more time going within. Try it for half a day to begin and progress to a full day once every two weeks or more. Begin by choosing a day when you know you’ll have other means of connectedness, but eventually, you want to cultivate the ability to provide yourself with internal validation. Give yourself a break from being triggered by the outside world. It may seem unfathomable at first but trust me it feels amazing!
  3. Get Green: Spend time in nature or in an area with plenty of plants. This could be your garden or a local park. Sit and let the nature spirits go to work lifting your vibration and cleansing your aura like a green juice cleanse for your energy field. Imagine the nature spirits massaging your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical bodies to bring you back to your true frequency.
  4. Create: Engage your creative side through crafting, writing, drawing, cooking, or any form of artistic expression. Be deliberate in your process to allow your second chakra to heal through creative expression. This supports your ability to help create positive changes in the world at large!
  5. Crystal Baptism: Take a crystal bath. Place water safe crystals in your bath to be supercharged and to baptize yourself as the divine being you are. It will align your vibration to a higher frequency and create an opportunity to cleanse whatever you might have absorbed that is not of the highest light. If you are not sure of what crystals are water safe, simply place them around your tub instead of directly in the water. Clear and rose quarts as well as amethyst are examples of water safe crystals.
  6. Listen for Love: Share a podcast or piece of music that you love with someone you love. Be sure to tell them why it had an impact on you as doing so amplifies the effect on self. Helping others by giving our love and positive intention, always helps us. It is a holy offering to you both.
  7. Strengthen Your Connection to Your Core: Engage in intentional physical activity to strengthen the core of your being. One concentrated way of doing so is to combine the use of mantras with a given exercise. For example, try 7 x 30 second planks in which you repeat a different mantra each round to target seven sacred principles you wish to enhance. Here are seven sample mantras to try:
  • I let go of all fear. Peace is restored within and throughout the world.
  • I speak my truth with authority and confidence.
  • I am grounded, rooted, and solid in my being.
  • I am safe and protected.
  • My heart is fully open to all of humanity and I share my love with ease.
  • I am fulfilled on every level.
  • I am stand in my mastery with ease and joy.

Living like a goddess will help bring a sense of reverence to your life and the world around you. It will reverberate outward from you and help others remember that we are all Divine creators. Now is the time to use our sacred power to cultivate a reality of peace, love, and unity. May it be so.
