Description

The adventure continues on Little Puddle Pond!

Nellie and Willie stopped their silly goose squabbling, fell head over tails in love, and became a family. To their delight, the following Spring goslings Glossie and Flossie were born!

Big brother Glossie is full of energy and get-up-and-go; however, he tends to gloss over the rules, acts impulsively, and often lands in trouble. Mother Nellie and Father Willie wonder if he has a haywire GPS or Goose-Pause-Setting? While little sister Flossie follows her big brother Glossie everywhere and pays no heed to her GPS either.

One day, Lucy the goose-sitter hatches a wild goose plan to keep Glossie and Flossie out of trouble. Her plan backfires and a scary situation unfolds when the goslings dash off to a place they’ve been warned not to go. A glum Glossie and a flustered Flossie are dismayed by their willy-nilly behavior. Will Glossie and Flossie ever learn to listen?

Reviews

I just finished, and thoroughly enjoyed, Mary Ellen Lucas’ second book The Goslings Learn to Listen!

I especially fell in love with Flossie and her love for adventure and fun, as I feel the same! I appreciated reading about her learning to follow her own instincts and GPS system. I love the sentence on page 34: She knew she was headed in the right direction when a smile opened in her heart.

I will never look at geese the same! I certainly have a deeper appreciation of them! Thank you, Mary Ellen, for your lovely books. You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy them! – Georgiann M. Lauer

My mom is a retired librarian who loves children’s books and is a grandmother. For the second year in a row I’ve given her one of Mary Ellen Lucas’s books as a Mother’s day gift. She calls it the best gift ever! She enjoys the book for herself and reading it with her grandchildren. – Holly Rowley
