We have just crossed the halfway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, marked by Beltane on the first of May. A Gaelic festival historically celebrated in both Ireland and Scotland, Beltane engages the transformational energy of fire to celebrate the coming of summer, honor the ripeness and fertility of the season, and welcome in the energy of positive expectation. I invite you to tap into the momentum of Beltane to facilitate a shift in vibration both within and for the planet. Consider approaching the month of May as an extended May Day celebration in which you commit to orienting to a high vibration perspective and actively cultivate peace. As the Goddess of Love and Justice, the Sumerian Goddess Inanna can help you stay aligned with love through the heart chakra and the principle of forgiveness. In untethering self from the vibration of hurt, pain, and trauma, we can help create a world free of lower vibrational density. Are you ready to take a month-long challenge of living and embodying high vibration? Below are three simple ways to support your process. But first let us explore the notion of forgiveness.
Forgiveness
Even just the suggestion of forgiveness can be extremely triggering for those who seek justice for the pain they have endured. To be clear, this is not about condoning hurtful actions or violence done against us. This is about releasing oneself from the hurt to move forward and heal. The process does not require anyone but you to know about your forgiveness of the situation. This is where calling on Inanna can help— as a force of supreme power, she is not about acquiescing. Instead, Inanna is like the Holy Grail— an embodiment of love and Divine Feminine wisdom who serves All. In Arthurian legend, King Arthur’s Knight Perceval finds the grail but cannot retrieve it until he asks the correct question of who it serves. The answer to the question is: it serves all. This is what forgiveness does. If you find the word “forgive” too triggering, you may prefer the term “acceptance” (as in a deep acceptance of what has unfolded). Alternatively, you can reframe the term to align more with the way Inanna seeks justice. Ultimately the justice Inanna cultivates is informed by the perspective that forgiveness is a high vibration gift. For example, we see this play out in how Inanna handles her Beloved’s power-hungry actions when she returns from the underworld to find him unphased by her death and relishing his solitary reign. She sets in motion an opportunity for him to become initiated to higher consciousness which not only serves him, herself, and her people, but also the land by way of establishing seasons of growth. Forgiveness by any name serves all and is rooted in pure love.
Three Steps for your Month-Long High Vibration Challenge
Start with Forgiveness:
Start this month-long challenge with a ritual in which you identify what you are ready to forgive, freeing yourself from that which you no longer wish to be bound. This may be a behavior or thought pattern or may be a circumstance that occurred where in you experienced hurt. It may even be about the aggression playing out on the world stage right now.
Forgiveness Ritual
Step 1: Write down on a piece of paper what you wish to forgive and release.
Step 2: Go outside to a sacred place where you can be alone for a few minutes with a large pot (or a fire pit if you have one).
Step 3: Call on the Higher Dimensional beings with which you are aligned, (maybe it is Ostara the spring goddess, Inanna, your angels, or guides) and ask for their support in helping you forgive and free yourself from the pain of the experience or situation.
Step 4: With attention and intention, burn this paper in the pot or firepit and ask for it to be transmuted into love. This will of course take longer than just one effort, but by doing this, you set your intention to begin to open to forgiveness and the ritual act establishes your commitment to that end.
Step 5: Close the ritual with gratitude and hold an expectation that your intention is now firmly established.
Daily Meditation or Prayer:
Through prayer, envelop those causing harm in a loving embrace. Help them move out of separation consciousness by feeling, through your prayer and meditation efforts, what unity consciousness is like. Pray for them to be held in the arms of the Divine to heal the wounding at the root of their aggression. Alternatively, while in meditation, mentally call the situation up and consciously bring your awareness to your heart while thinking of the situation or person. Use your breath to direct loving energy to what you resist or feel repelled by. Lean into it through the sacred protection of love that will support all.
Can You Go Higher?
When you come up against any resistance internally, can you challenge yourself to engage even more from a perspective of love? Every time you experience a circumstance or a situation that causes you distress or hurt, can you pause and ask what is being offered as medicine for your growth through the experience? Then use the anger, judgment, or frustration that you may feel as a portal to higher vibration by consciously transmuting it into love. In other words, feel the anger and try to explore dissolving it into light by taking it into your heart center and literally asking your heart to show you how to transform it. This supports the notion of love serving all as it changes the individual or situation causing distress, into an opportunity for service in aiding your own growth and transformation. From a spiritual perspective, this supports the person who may have hurt you by offering them the experience of being in service for the greatest good rather than causing further hurt—supporting their evolution to higher vibration as well as your own. Go as high as you possibly can and then when you get to that place, ask if yourself if you can go higher still.
Stay focused and dedicated to this goal. Try it for just the month of May and in doing so you actively participate in the paradigm shift of peace, unity and love that will serve ALL.
