Gina Mazza is a word provocateur | creative muse | nonfiction author | journalist | book editor | publishing consultant | high-level content writer | creativity coach | poetess | intuitionist | conscious evolutionist.
My sacred journey began with one humble intent: I want to know God. From a young age, I had an impulse to ask epic questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What’s the meaning of life? Of death? These curiosities came into sharper focus in my early thirties, after my children were born.
As a journalist, I had begun reporting on topics that are now in the mainstream, subjects like spirituality, human potential and evolution, consciousness research, integrative and natural medicine. My professional and personal lives ran parallel, and soon converged when I authored the first of my three books—this one, about the use of intuition as medicine for optimal body, mind and spirit wellness.
The more I researched and reported on these focus areas, the more I personally lived the experiences. Both my consciousness and my circle expanded exponentially. In the past decades, the inward journey to apprehend this thing called life has taken me around the world, working inside leading eco-communities like the Federation of Damanhur in northern Italy; visiting ancient sacred sites like Stonehenge, Avebury, the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, Patagonia and the Bosnian Pyramids; studying at retreat centers like the Chopra Center; and apprenticing with an energy healer from Brazil.
I’ve had the privilege of spending time with and learning from some of the top luminaries in the field of consciousness studies. In recent years, my quest has turned decidedly inward. After various iterations of awakening to what’s “out there”, I’ve come to understand, as Rumi wrote: “That which I’m seeking is seeking me.” God resides within me, within each of us.
